A ticketing system I've used in a previous job had the option to turn on an "incognito mode", where changes to issues made while the option was turned on did not trigger notifications. This was useful when, for instance, someone would go back and assign properties to previous issues, so that people associated with the issues didn't get bombarded with notifications about them. Is this something that can be added?
Hello @Ryan Buschert welcome to the community. Jira doesn't have that functionality as you describe it, yet there are two ways to achieve this. Option A you temporarily remove the notification scheme from the project (requires Jira administrators permissions). Option B, you change the ticket from the bulk change functionality and select not to notify for the changes done. This option isn't the best but works great for any user without admin privileges
This is a really neat suggestion. If a staff member is editing various different issues throughout the day that are not very worthy of notification, it'd really help if there was a way to disable notification by issue.
