Can we clarify what changes a permissions scheme when applied to two identical projects?

For example if a project is created from the template of another. We have found that even with identical permissions the respond differently. So when trying to change a due date for example you can in the one project but not in the other. The only way I have rectified this is to reapply the permissions scheme to project and then get the user to refresh their system.

Hello @Spencer Ferris

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Permissions within Permission Schemes can be allocated to

Project Role
Application access
Group
Public
Any logged in user
Single user
Service Project Customer - Portal Access
Group custom field value
Current assignee
Project lead
User custom field value
Reporter
If you are noticing differences in permissions, have you reviewed how the permissions are granted and whether or not the user is in the requisite recipients?
Have you tried using the Permissions Helper when this occurs to determine why a user does or does not have a specific permission?
