Can theme/colors etc be changed in JIRA SOFTWARE?

I am a "project lead" for a project in JIRA SOFTWARE (7.9) and wondering if I could change the "look-and-feel" of the project. For example, can I change sidebar menu background color, add a company logo, or maybe hide a few things here and there ?

If not, is there a certain permission role that would allow such a thing?

Unfortunately a project lead can't do much. You can change the project icon but not the sidebar menu background color.

Company logo can be added by your JIRA Admin and a favicon as well.
