Can't move my tickets from Backlog to active

I create a task on the active board and it will automatically move to the backlog. I'm not able to drag the ticket out of the backlog.

Welcome to the community! Just to make sure, are you talking about a Scrum board or a Kanban board?

If you are talking about a Kanban Board (the board view is called "Kanban Board"), it is very likely that something is preventing you from transition the issue to the first status/first column on the board. Can you check that you have the "Transitions issues" permission in that project or no condition in the workflow is blocking you?

If you are talking about a Scrum board (the board view is called "active sprints") you have to add the issue to a sprint before they appear on the board. This should require the "Edit issues" and "Schedule issues" project permission.

Hi Janelle - Welcome to the Community!

First, check the permission scheme to see if you have permissions to Transition Issues. If that's good then, check your workflow to see what conditions might be preventing the transition.
