Can't manage licenses because Jira was purchased via third party

Hello everybody,

I am currently working in the public sector in Germany and our department recently purchased Jira. Unfortunately (because we are not allowed to buy software directly) we obtained Jira via third party (company).

The company transmitted us the license keys and I used them to activate Jira again (Jira was already installed on our server for evaluation purposes but the evaluation licenses expired recently).

Now I would like to manage the licenses in the Atlassian Account of my department. Unfortunately the licenses I activated are not shown in the account. I assume that they are connected to the company which purchased them (for us).

Is there any possibility to link the licences with the Atlassian account of my department (which did not purchase the licences but uses them)?

Or do I have to contact the company?

Please contact the company. They are usually helpful here and would be able to advise you what to do or even get you the needed license.
