Can't find Jira Update Check Tool and Manage apps option on Jira 7.6.

rashmi.bisoi October 23, 2019

As per the upgrade instructions:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/preparing-for-the-upgrade-966063325.html

Make sure your apps are compatible with the new version, so they keep working after the upgrade. You'll need to disable all incompatible apps as they might affect the upgrade.

  1. Go to  > Manage apps.
  2. Scroll down past the list of apps from Atlassian Marketplace, and click JIRA update check.
  3. Select a version you want to upgrade to, and click Check.

But I can't find Manage apps option by going to settings icon on Jira 7.6.

As I'm updating Jira from 7.6 to 8.4 is there any other ways to check Jira app compatibility.

Hi rashmi.bisoi,

Ensure your user has not only the Jira Administration permission but also the Jira System Administration global permissions, since this options are only available to system administrators.

See Managing global permissions page

Thanks
