Hi, has anyone seen this issue before in Windows?

"The action can't be completed because the folder is open in Atlassian JIRA".

I'm aware there are several things to try that will release these file handles, but I'm more concerned of this happening repeatedly, and a way for JIRA to release them automatically. I've setup a script to cull the older backup .zip files from export, but it won't run successfully in future if this issue remains.

Thanks.

This is a bug in Windows - it fails to recognise that just because a service needs a directory to be there (and hence held "open"), it doesn't mean the files in there are open.

There's no easy fix for this, other than stopping Jira so that Windows doesn't see that "lock".

Disappointing, Windows. Thanks Nic.
