I tried submitting the following bug but was told my user account didn't have permissions to submit bugs. (It would have been nice if I had been told that before spending the time writing the bug.)
If browser save dialog is open, escape deletes work in Jira
- Start editing a Jira ticket in Chrome on Windows.
- Spend 30 minutes writing the description of the ticket.
- Better save the work now. Click CTRL+S (for Chrome this prompts the browser to save the html page).
- Oops. CTRL+S is just what my fingers automatically do to save in every other Windows program I've ever used, so they just expect that to work here. Hit escape to cancel that dialog.
- The Save dialog goes away, but Jira also reacts to the escape key and deletes all the work I've worked on since last clicking out of that field or clicking the checkbox.
