When I open an issue, on the Details View, I am not able to remove a label from the issue. I used to be able to remove a label by clicking the (x) on the label itself, but that option does not show any longer. I can not find anything in any of the settings. We are using a company-managed project on Jira Cloud Free. Can someone help me out? Thanks in advance.
See screenshot:
it's possible that the label removal option has been disabled or hidden in your project settings.
Go to your Jira project.
Click on "Project settings" in the left sidebar.
Select "Labels" under the "Issue features" section.
Make sure that the "Edit labels" option is enabled
Also check screen configuration
Go to your Jira project.
Click on "Project settings" in the left sidebar.
Select "Screens" under the "Issue layout" section.
Find the screen associated with your issue type and check if the label field is present and editable
It was indeed an issue with a screen configuration. Thank you!
