Can multiple cloud instances of JIRA be synced with one G-suite deployment, and not affect each other?

We have a production JIRA instance and I would like to set up an internal JIRA SD instance. The production JIRA instance already syncs users with our G-Suite deployment. If I add the JIRA SD instance to also sync with G-Suite, it should not affect the production instance, correct?
