Can logging hours for the sub-tasks be reflected at the parent level

Hello, During the sprint planning, we estimate the original time estimate at user story level. Sub-tasks are created in the due course of the sprint, where work is being logged. We expect that the remaining time originally given to the parent user story will be reduced whenever there are any worklog on its corresponding subtasks. This is not happening currently and Remaining time doesn't change (unless we estimate separately at the sub-tasks level).

Is there anyway that we can achieve this in Jira, without additionally estimating at the sub-tasks level? Thanks a lot!

Note: Though I found several posts already in the forum, couldn't come across a straightforward solution for this issue yet. Any suggestions would be helpful.

it would be very challenging to propose a native JIRA Solution for server version, but if you have some plugins like "JIRA Workflow Toolbox", "JIRA Misc Workflow Extension " or "Script Runner", i would be happy to propose some solutions.

Let me know what kind of plugins you have to better assist you with a proper solution.
