I could explain, but it would be better in the long term if you and the other people who are part of the group you referred to as 'we' were to read the Forge documentation yourselves, follow the online tutorials yourselves, try building some of the sample apps yourselves, and thereby discover for yourselves the method and requirements for building the app you have described.
