Can a run two simultaneous timesheet instances? One for operational team, second one for management team

We are using timesheet for all users but we want to separate out it for operational and management team. Few projects/boards are common to them with different tasks

Is it possible? If yes, how to configure the same?

Hello @Vijay Mahale

Are you using a third party app for the timesheet functionality? If so can you specify which app that is?

Can you provide more information on what you are trying to accomplish with you request about running two simultaneous timesheet instances? What exactly do you need to separate between the teams with regard to the timesheet functionality?

Hello Trudy Claspill,

Thanks for reply.  We are not using any third party timesheet. We are using JIRA timesheet available in Apps tab.

We want to keep two separate instance one for management team members and one for operational resources. This is basically to track activities and projects separately. We may create few reports for operational team’s data which are not so relevant for management team.

Thanks and Regards,

Hello @Vijay Mahale

In an out of the box Jira instance with no third party apps installed, I do not see "Timesheets" listed in the Apps menu at the top of the screen. Can you provide a screen image that shows where you go to access Timesheets?

If you are truly accessing it under the Apps menu, then it is probably a third party product and we would need to know which one it is to provide additional advice. Information about which third party products are installed can be accessed by a Jira Administrator.

I recommend that you check with your Jira Administrators. They will be able to tell you the third party app responsible for adding the option to the menu.
