Can a Release be done based on components?

Can a Release be done based on components?

We have a project with 8 different components and 8 teams working on each component. Can we have a release for each component separately. If so please let me know the process?

Answer accepted

You would need to name a release with a component prefix and connect each release with issues of a certain component. Out of the box this connection can be made only manually.

Thanks Alexey, May be I should name the version using the component name or mention the component in description section of a version so that I can sort by component.
