Can I use (sys field)Project Name Field as custom field to create form field for an issue type

I want to use Project (Sys field) and replicate another Field (say IT Project Name ) as a drop-down field. I wish to know whether this is possible as it will help in creating a central Issue type for All IT Project common issue tracking.

Discovered the answer.

I created a Custom Field with the Project Name Picker as the Type of Field. However, it is only Single Select and not Multi-Select.
