Hi
I would like to use Jira automation where I can schedule some specific tasks (based on a filter) to be downloaded in an excel file. It it possible by just using the automation (and no 3rd party software)?
In the automation options I see that scheduling some action is ok, but I dont see an option to trigger an action such as the one I want.
Thanks in advance
Hi @Daniel
No, that is not possible with out-of-the-box features of Jira Cloud.
If you have the ability to call the Jira REST API from the tool which is performing your "specific tasks", that might be an option.
And if you describe the problem you are trying to solve, perhaps the community will be able to suggest other alternatives.
Kind regards,
Bill
Hi @Daniel,
Our company has the solution, we developed it especially for one of our customers and by now several companies are actively using our solution and the feedbacks are great.

Not possible with the built-in automation action. Even worse, because Automation for Jira does not allow third party automation actions, it is possible to extend the built-in set!
(At the same time, it is possible to implement third party automation actions on Data Center. That's exactly what we do in our Better Excel Automation app.)
