My manager overuses emoji reactions to leave thumbs up reactions on Jira ticket comments he's read, probably because we also use Slack which leaves a lot of options for folks about how to get notified & because generally leaving an emoji reaction on something in Slack is innocuous. However, this ends up filling up my Atlassian notifications & causing most such notifications to be non-actionable information. I still need to check them, however, since if someone actually commented (rather than just reacted) then it's very likely something I need to read.
Is there a way to configure Jira to remove notifications for emoji reactions? Or to disentangle these notifications from more actionable notifications?
I do not believe that is possible yet. The closest to that ability at this time is adjustments to your notifications in personal settings.

Thanks @Bill Sheboy,
I think my suggestion is slightly distinct from what that linked search turns up. Do you think this would be worth a JRACLOUD ticket?
Thanks again,
Matt

Yes, as I could see value in the extra granularity for reactions. You can add a new suggestion from that same link I provided.

looks as if I can't do that quite but I'll see if I can from the feedback forms on the product
