Dear team:
I have a hierarchy of activities that I need to work on.
I would like to map them within Jira, for which it would be great to nest a child issue to child issue, ie a "grandson" of the parent task.
So the main task´s issue #1 would be completed once issue #1´s child issues are completed.
I do not see it feasible to nest issues with the standard setup. ¿ Is there any way to get it done with some complementary module?
Any hints will be greatly appreciated
Best regards
Rogelio
Hi @ralvez welcome to the community.
Epics -> Stories -> Sub-Tasks would give you that structure. Am I missing something in your description of requirements?
Hello Craig: Thanks a lot!
I will give it a shot, see if this setup fulfills my intention, and get back to you as soon as possible.
Best regards, Rogelio

Hello Craig:
According to a Youtube video I have just been reviewing, "Epic" should be one type of issue when I want to create an issue:
However in my current setup I can only create the "Task" issue type. ¿ is there any global setting I need to modify in order to have "Epic" in the drop down menu?

Hi @ralvez have a look at this page.

Found it! A property of the project!
I already added Epic as a new issue type. I will play a bit and see how this can provide me a hierarchical approach to the distribution of my taks.
Thanks! I will get back to you with news as soon as possible.
Best regards, Rogelio
