I've been trying to add a column in my cvs file with the Epic ID from Jira, but it's not working. I keep getting an error message saying "Unable to retrieve issue key for parent: CDS-194."
Hi Juan - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Create your column in the CSV with whatever name you want - Epic ID, Parent, Epic Link, etc.
Put in your value of the Epic as you have: CDS-194
Be sure to have a column for Issue Type with the value of Story in your CSV.
When you map the columns during the import process, use the Jira Parent field to map to your CSV.
Also, make sure that the user who is importing has access to the Epic CDS-194 issue.
I have only done this for Data Center, but create a column called Epic Link and put in the Epic Name value (or Summary, depending on whether that field is still value). Map that column to the Epic Link field.
You can also do this when you are importing both the epics and children in the same import (just make sure that your epics are above the stories in the csv).
