Can I import Bugzilla's QA Contact field into JIRA?

Daniel McRae December 19, 2018

I've imported one of my Bugzilla projects into JIRA and was surprised to not see my QA Contact data. Doing a search, I found requests from as far back as 2012 for this feature. I also found this in Atlassian's documentation:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/kb/importing-unsupported-bugzilla-custom-fields-into-jira-437911990.html

Is this still true? Is there a reasonable way I can get all of my QA contact info into JIRA?

Hello  Daniel,

Thank you for contacting Atlassian Community.

Unfortunately, the only way to import the QA contact and other custom fields from Bugzilla to JIRA is using the CSV functionality as described in the documentation you mentioned.

That been said, we understand that would be a valid improvement if JIRA supported the import for those fields too, that's why we've created a new suggestion to implement this functionality:

Support QA Contact and Alias and any other built-in custom fields in Bugzilla

Please vote and watch this feature request in order to increase its priority and also be aware of any updates on it.

Additionally, feel free to add any feedback you might have about this lack of functionality directly to our developers by commenting on the suggestion.

Let us know if there's anything else we can help with.
