I want to file a task ticket which needs to reference a list of other Jira tickets (for instance, those that need to be tested during a final test phase).
I can embed a Jira filter in a Confluence page, but I don't want a Confluence page, I want a task ticket that has all the properties of a regular Jira ticket (i.e., supports sprints, story points, estimated and actual work, etc.). From what I have tried to google and search for, there is no reference to being able to do this, other than simply using an http: link to the appropriate filter page.
That's "okay" but not really what I want. I want the list to show up when anyone views the ticket and an http: link doesn't expand into tis list in a Jira comment or description (unlike in Confluence where it is expanded inline in the confluence page.) In order to see the filter list from an http: link, you need to click the link and then the filter page will appear in another window or tab or replace the ticket in the current window or tab.
This seems like a pretty straightforward thing to want to do and I am surprised that it doesn't seem to be asked for anywhere else.
I haven’t tried this but it seems to me that you should be able to create a custom URL field and simply paste the URL of your filter into that field. Certainly worth a try
Hi @Jon Rosen -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
I do not believe there is anything in out-of-the-box Jira to do this. There appear to be marketplace add-on for this, and I haven't used any I could recommend:
