Can I create a Jira Kanban issue (card) from data captured in an online form?

Hi Community,

Currently we are capturing Backlog issues manually, by transferring the data from a document sent to a shared mailbox into a new Issue/Task on our Kanban.

What would be great is if an online form could be filled in which can create / populate a new card in the tool

Thanks

Where do you want to use such form? I mean where it should be hosted and access by your users?

Raley IntakeForms could be an option - https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1217327/raley-intake-forms-for-jira?hosting=cloud&tab=overview, if you want to have a form placed anywhere (any website or Confluence)

Also, our lovely ConfiForms app can be used if you want to have (Jira) intake forms in Confluence

Both offer lots of customisation options - dynamically rendered fields, setting default values base on value in other fields and much more

Hi @[deleted]

Depending on what you are trying to capture it could be that the issue collectors can solve your problem.

If this is not enough i would recommend to create a form with REST calls

Thank you for getting back to me Dave

Issue collector doesn't appear as an option within Project Settings :

I think it may relate to being on a Next Gen project?
