Can I automate subtask creation for issues for one project?

I need to figure out if there is a way to automate the creation of subtasks for new issues created on one certain project/board. The subtasks are almost always the same and it is very tedious for this one particular team. I'm thinking along the lines of the Story is created and then has up to 5 subtasks each time - basically following a template on all 5 subtasks.

Any ideas?

Yep, you can use automation inside that single project to do this.

Go to the project, hit project settings at the bottom left, and then find the link to automation.  Add one that triggers when you need it (issue create is easiest) and then chain a few "issue creation" blocks off it.

You can use Jira Automation feature (Project Settings -> Automation). Something like this:
