Hi,
I am working in IT administration and have multiple issue which are usually linked to "internal" projects. This causes problems in accounting because thy cannot directly account time logged for the issues directly to the clients accounts.
Therefore I am interested to know, if there's a way to pre-define (or post-define) a distribution bias of the logged time for some of the issues. Preferably not only an even distribution bias. I.e. an meeting covers general issues of the company but one teams issues take up an significant amount of the time spent, so I would like to have 20% of the time on the account of this team and the rest on the "internal" project.
Any hints?
Thanks in advance for your replies!
Best wishes,
Marco
No, there's no way to have time logged in one project appear in another.
I'd want to look at a different approach, instead of looking at the project to gather together time, identify the issues where time matters to a client with something else. Either a flat simple field (stick the client's name on every issue in a label or select list field for example), or a more nuanced query like "project = X or (project = internal and assignee in team-for-project-x)"
