When in a scaled agile program, are Features maintained in the Program Backlog and the Team Backlog until the decomposes it into stories within the team backlog.  Or does the team backlog never contain features, since they are in the Program Backlog.

Hi @Arnold Schoenfeld -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I recommend discussing this question with your team's agile coach / scrum master to learn how your organization does this

If your teams use some defined methodology, that may already have guidance on the flow from ideation to delivery for the portfolio items.  If not, the people in your org will know how it is currently done...and how they try to use Jira features to support that.

Kind regards,
Bill

@Arnold Schoenfeld Typically the abstract feature is an Epic and then to create that feature, the team create several User Stories and subtask to split the to get that Epic done.

As many features your software have, as many as Epics splitted on several USs you have too.
