Why has the Calendar view been removed from the Jira Android app?
The Calendar view is literally the only part of Jira that I use on mobile. Since the recent app update, it appears to have disappeared completely, which has made the Android app effectively useless for me.
I use Jira specifically to view scheduled work in a calendar format. A list or board is not an equivalent replacement, and having to open Jira in a browser every time defeats the point of having the mobile app installed.
Was this removal intentional, and is the Calendar view coming back? If it has only been moved, please explain where it is now. If it has been removed permanently, Atlassian should reconsider that decision or at least provide a clear explanation.
Adding to @Arkadiusz Wroblewski's answer - I also couldn't find any public update or announcement saying that the Calendar view was intentionally removed from the Jira Android app.
I'd raise this with Atlassian Support as a possible bug/regression and include your app version, Android version, device, and when you first noticed the Calendar view missing.
Hopefully Atlassian can confirm whether it was removed, moved, or unintentionally affected by the latest update 💙
Hope this helps!
Hello and Welcome to Atlassian Community @Jay Jones
I don´t think we can answer you that.
You should address that directly to Atlassian Support
