In Asana, it's possible to create or view tasks in a calendar view based on due date; I could even set a due-time. This would also trigger notifications as due-dates/times expired.
This ability to make due dates truly work for me in a visual manner is the feature I miss most since moving to JIRA. It meant my team really kept to schedules far more easily as due dates/times were always so easily viewable. Since moving to JIRA I've seen due dates sometimes slip past unnoticed in a way that never happened when we had shared calendar views.
Is there any way or plug in that effectively and easily presents tasks in a calendar based on their due dates?
Many thanks
there is a basic calendar you can put on your dashboards to show issues by due date
see this blog

There are more sophisticated calendars on the Atlassian marketplace
@Tom Lister do you have any recommendations for more robust calendar plug-ins for JIRA cloud? I would like to leverage this feature for software projects (viewable in the project panel) but JIRA only provides calendar option for work management type of projects.
In addition, I was hoping to find a single plug in for calendaring and one that would also allow me to connect different type of projects (say work management and kanban) where I could effectively see all issues (by group) and manage them during a collective working session without the need to go into the individual boards. Scouring the marketplace - coming up empty. Thanks for the help.
