Hi,
I want to divide the results of two JQL queries and display the percentage on a Jira Dashboard.
For example:
I want to calculate the percentage (e.g., 50 ÷ 250 = 20%) and show this value on a Dashboard.
Which Jira gadget should I use for this, and how can I set it up?
Hi @Ashwin Kurundkar welcome
At the moment you cannot do this with native Jira gadgets alone.
To divide the results of two JQL queries and show the percentage on a dashboard, you need a marketplace add‑on (e.g., Rich Filters, Custom Charts, EazyBI). Native Jira gadgets cannot perform mathematical calculations on query results.

Hi @Ashwin Kurundkar ,
You can do this one issue at a time by creating a calculated field; however, calculated fields are evaluated per issue and cannot aggregate or divide the results of multiple JQL queries.
To show this kind of percentage on a dashboard, you need a gadget or app that supports aggregated calculations across JQL results (for example, Rich Filters, eazyBI, or Atlassian Analytics on Cloud). These tools can compute the ratio and display it as a number or gauge.

Petru

Just to add to Christos's answer - if you ever decide to give eazyBI a try, I'm adding an example how this may look in eazyBI.
To calculate the percentage you can achieve it by the below measure. This expression would divide the count of labeled stories by the total count of stories,
Similarly to the screenshot below.
Then format it as a percentage, and you can display it on a dashboard. You can also show the actual counts alongside the percentage if needed.
Hope this helps! Feel free to reach out to support@eazybi.com if you have any questions!
