Calculating Percentage completed for an Epic using story points

I am new to JIRA and would like to know how to use the story points for an underlying EPIC to calculate the percentage completed.  Essentially completed story points/total story points.  Are these fields searchable in JIRA?  Where can I find a list of searchable fields in JIRA?

You'll need to find an automation or scripting app that can calculate that and put it into a field for you.

All fields are searchable in Jira, unless an admin has deliberately turned it off (by removing it's "searcher")
