CSV import giving: 730 ERROR - Fatal error during import: config

Ola Sandbu August 2, 2019

I have done a lot of similar Jira issue imports earlier, but suddenly a fatal error showed up in one of my new projects. First I belived it was related to the CSV data file, but after remaiking it to a manual made file og 10-15 lines, I think it is caused by something wrong in the Jira cloud system.

Complete error log is this:

2019-08-02 14:11:13,477 INFO - Importer started!
2019-08-02 14:11:13,481 INFO - Engine is running in Import mode
2019-08-02 14:11:13,709 INFO - All issues will be imported to project: Sandkasse_test_TF3 (STF3)
2019-08-02 14:11:13,719 INFO - Creating issue: [externalId='14041', summary='AVT6-01 describe the data volumes the solution shall manage']
2019-08-02 14:11:13,730 ERROR - Fatal error during import: config

It is no text like "config" in the CSV file, and the import is done to a new created project.

The CSV import I had that gave 730 error message was caused by an database error that had occured in my Jira cloud installation. It was fixed on-line by Atlassian support. The support people could not tell me what had caused the error, or if it was something I had done that had caused it. But it was fixed quite fast, and I am now happy.

@Ola Sandbu

Are you sure there is no connection issue while the file is being imported?

730 error is a network issue.

If this is a network issue, then it must be the connection to atlassian .net that is failing when the import is started. During the sequence of specifying CSV-file and checking of Fields, I see several connection logs to atlassian.net.

All checking of CSV Fields worked OK, and as you see from the error log, creating of the first issue was started when it came to an fatal error.

The strange thing is that regardless what I am doing with a CSV-file, I am getting the same error Message.

@Ola Sandbu

Please click here then open a support ticket with Atlassian. There is not much that can be done from your end as an admin when instances are On-Demand.

Please share with us what was the problem behind this issue
