I was invited to work on a project being managed here in Jira, and upon exploring the platform, I find it to be a very useful tool. So, I decided to create a project/product to see what can be done. However, upon creating it, I realized that not only am I in the project I was invited to and the one I created, but there is also a third project/product that I have no idea where it came from. Although I moved it to the trash, it still appears in the products section. How do I delete it and make sure it doesn't appear anymore?
I have attached a screenshot where you can see the list of "My Products" and the dropdown for "Jira Software". As you can see, there are 3 items, but I want to remove the one that says "cursos12" as I don't know where it came from and it's very inconvenient to see.
Thank you for your assistance.
Hi @Jhonathan Alarcón Parra and welcome to the Community!
I did not even know that there was a list of My products on the Atlassian site. How cool is that!
Apart from that, what you see in that list, is a number of atlassian sites (not projects) that you are - at least - a site administrator on. When you see a site there that you did not create yourself, that may suggest you are not the one who created it and are added as a site admin by someone else. Just click on it to access and check who else may be there and discuss with them how they may remove you from it.
If it turns out you are the owner of the site and you want to remove it, it boils down to cancel your subscription for that site. Follow the steps from this support article to do so.
Hope this helps!
Actually that list is not limited to Sites where the user is an administrator. It is the same set of sites you can see from the Navigator in the Jira and Confluence products, and it is any Site where your account has been given access.
Unfortunately it is possible for anybody who owns a site to grant access to their site simply by inviting a person using an email address. As a non-admin user a person cannot remove their access to a site. The only way to remove the access to a site for a non-admin user is for an admin of that site to remove the access.
