The "Two Dimensional Filter Statistics" have a field "Yaxis" and we want to see the "Business Unit" which is a custom field in this yaxis field options. We dont know why its not showing up.
Please advise on how we should get that value added to a field within a gadget.
Hi Spruha Shah and Welcome,
From the Adding the Two-Dimensional Filter Statistics Gadget page.
¹ If choosing a custom field, please note that only the following types of custom fields are supported by this gadget out-of-the-box: 'Group picker', 'Multi select', 'User picker', 'Select list' and 'Version picker'.
What kind of custom field is your "Business Unit"?
Regards
Hello!
Yes, "business unit" is a text-field(multi-line) type field. Does this mean i wont be able to have that in the gadget field options.
And in order to get the Business unit field added in the option for the gadget (yaxis) field i have to make a new field that is one of the types you mentioned.

Hello,
If the user does create a field that is supported by this gadget, what are the steps to add that field in the "Yaxis" field within the gadget ?

It will automatically appear in the dropdown menu as already shown in your image.
You simple have to select it and save the new gadget configuration.
That's all :)

This suggests your "business unit" field is not of a type you can list. From the name, I would guess it is a free-text field.

You can't use those in this gadget.
You'll need to use one of the field types that can be grouped (select-type fields such as radiobuttons, versions, users, select lists etc)
