Bulk import: required field error even when mapped

Hello,

I am attempting to do a bulk import from a CSV to create about 25 work items. My org's setup has a required custom field, "Account". I was able to successfully select this field for mapping to my CSV import file using the wizard. However, I am repeatedly getting an error that my entire import failed because the field "Account" is required. This field is filled for all rows in my file. Any ideas? I tried doing value mapping in the wizard and changing the values in my CSV to exactly match what I need selected in the field, but nothing has worked.

Hi Jessica - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I am suspicious that that the system might be getting confused by the name of the field since there might be a system field by the same name. I would try modifying it to something like Account Name or Account Code and then be sure it is the same field that is mapping. 

The other thing is what type of field is it? Text? Single Select? Etc. And are the values in the CSV the exact same values if it is a select type field?

Actually start with making sure the Account field is on the Create screen used by the project you are importing into. If it is not, add it and then try the import again.
