I'm attempting to upload a log of our company issues that we have been tracking since January. Most of our January - March issues have been resolved. I have been able to set the created date to actually match when it was sent to us but can't figure out how to set a resolution date. I've seen other describe adding resolution dates and tying them to an existing field in Jira. My issue is that it doesn't correspond to when the item is marked done. Therefore when we run reports it appears as thou nothing was resolved in the previous dates (January & February). When I run a report it appears as though every item was resolved on the day I did the upload which isn't correct.
Can someone point me the direction of either how to create a work around such that our reporting matches our back log?
