On several occasions I perform bulk editing to Epic issue types to update field values. On these occasions certain issues change from an epics to a different issue type automatically when the edits are being processed. These changes do not show on the confirmation screen before executing the updates. These changes result in broken links, and change in behavior of the issue or the issue type remain the same but the links are broken.
The Issue type edits are unavailable in the bulk editor nor do I have permission to change them in individually.
What could be the issue?
