Hi.
I have several active projects in JIRA.
I used to use build version in my projects (along with affected - and fix version). But build version is now missing in my new project.
According to the field list It’s used in 3 screens.
“default screen”
“M2 default screen”
“Resolve Issue Screen”
But I’m only seeing it in old projects using the “default screen scheme”. The field isn’t showing in any of the new projects.
It all looks the same when I compare the fields, screens and schemes but it just won’t show.
// I’m considered superuser (frontend) in our team and do not have access to any backend programing or coding for JIRA. This needs to be handled with in JIRA front end. We do not have resources to handle backend.
I could imagine the field is "hidden" (option: Hide) from the corresponding Field Configuration Scheme - have you checked this already?
Apart from that you could use the "where is my field" helper - this normally explains pretty good why a field is missing.
Cheers,
Daniel
@Daniel Ebers
You are a super star! I forgot about that funktion.
Result: "The field 'Build version' is not configured in scope of the project 'XX' and issue type 'Story'"
It was configured to a selected issue type. Now it's any type and showing where it should.
(and probably some more places.. but I'll handle that)
Thank you!

so.... I just created and added a custom field that does the trick and is showing so the fire is out. But I'm still confused why the original field is missing...
