Bug in Advanced Roadmap showing a release "OFF-TRACK"

The advanced roadmap release view shows on incorrect status. The issue I’m seeing is that is there are stories in the sprint that exceed the date of the release, it shows as “OFF-TRACK”. The story dates are based on the two-week sprint, while the release would be done at the mid-way point the sprint.
Not sure if Atlassian has this as a know bug. It’s misleading since we would often deploy to pre-prod and production before the end of sprint, and the stories “dates” since we don’t assign them default to the last day of the sprint, thus the “incorrect” status in the Releases view.
It's not feasible to assign dates to stories given the overhead and nature of Agile. So this should be an easy fix for Jira.
