In Jira Cloud: When I click on "Reporter" it is giving me a long list of options that includes people who are not part of my organization, and various products that we don't use. It should just display users from my org.
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
The list of available reporters is determined by who has "create issue" permission in the project. This will include users for apps that have been integrated with the intent of letting them create issues when the users use that application.
Thanks, but the only apps installed are Github for Jira and JIRA Toolkit Plugin (which I didn't add but maybe it's a default). I see things like Microsoft Teams and Proforma Migrator etc. We don't use Teams, and I've never heard of the other thing.
I don't really care, it's not like I really change the Reporter. It just seems like a bug to me, this forum was the only place I could flag it in case the Jira teams want to look into it.

A lot of "core" Jira works from apps as well, and apps can't delete users when they are removed, so you may have some "hangover" users.

Got it, though I have been the only Jira admin for the lifetime of this instance, and I know these apps have never been installed. Thanks for the explanations, like I said it's not actually causing me a problem.
