How can I bring the old Jira Navigation system and user experience back?! I really don't like the new one to the extent that I am thinking of replacing Jira for my whole team!

Sorry to hear, each user needs to go to Settings > General settings > Jira labs > Navigation and where it says Turn on just for you and toggle it off.
