I have watched this Jira Product Discovery Webinar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yp0q7YVYM4c
I don't understand how "Boulders" are created. It doesn't look like they're the same thing as "Ideas". I would like to create a high level roadmap and sub roadmaps for each boulder like in the video but because all my items are "Ideas" the sub roadmap contains the general item from the main roadmap. This is because I can't find a way to create these "Boulders" that contain "Ideas".
My understanding from the video is that "boulders" are a type of idea. "Ideas" are, confusingly, another type of idea.
The container for any kind of information in JPD is called an idea (a bit like a ticket or card in other apps).
You can create different types of ideas by adding a custom label, in this case "Boulder" and "Idea". You can filter on those labels etc. to create different views and roadmaps.
My 2c anyway, but this question and video happened to provide part of a solution to an analogous problem I have :-). Just not sure how well it'll work at reflecting the hierarchical nature of the relationships I want to map out.
