Hi team,
We are using Jira Software and have encountered an issue with filters.
Previously, we had saved filters on the L2 board, but since yesterday they have disappeared. For example, we were able to filter tickets by creation date, but this option is no longer available.
We assume this might be related to a recent update on your side (around April 15, 2026).
While we can still use JQL or Rovo to find the data, it is not very convenient.
Could you please let us know if it is possible to restore the previous filter options?
Thank you in advance
Hi @Akmaral Imankulova ,
Are you saying filters completely disappeared from your instance? Any chance your Jira admin checked Jira administration to see if they are still there?
If you suspect that this is a system issue, your Jira admin should be able to reach out to Atlassian Support and check out with them. Potentially, they could restore them.
Btw, Jira admin should be able to check audit log and see if those entries related to missing filters are there. 👀
Cheers,
Tobi
What you describe is not expected behavior for Jira boards, so it’s unlikely that a simple UI change removed those filter options.
A few things worth checking:
Board configuration (most common cause)
Go to Board settings → General and verify the saved filter (JQL).
If the underlying filter was modified or replaced, it can make previously available quick filters or views seem “missing”.
Filter permissions or ownership changes
If the saved filters were owned by another user or their sharing settings changed, they may no longer appear for you.
Board filter vs. quick filters
Sometimes what looks like “missing filter options” is actually quick filters being removed or updated in the board configuration.
Audit log check (admin side)
A Jira admin can check the audit log to see if filters or board configurations were changed recently (especially around the timeframe you mentioned).
Atlassian support
If nothing appears in configuration changes, it’s worth opening a support ticket so they can verify whether anything changed at system level.
In most cases like this, the filters are still there — they’re just no longer exposed due to a configuration or permission change rather than being deleted.
