Description

I am trying to integrate a separate Bitbucket account with the Jira cloud for which I have admin access.

I have followed the documentation https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucket/connect-bitbucket-cloud-to-jira-software-server-814208991.html for the integration.

Completed Step1 successfully.

However in step 2. (Add the OAuth token in Jira Software Server), I was not able to get to point 6 listed in step 2, because after clicking on Link Bitbucket Cloud account it was displaying a page where I can select a user account, but cannot enter any OAuth token created in Step1.

Is there any way of entering these auth credentials on to Jira cloud.

Hello Sil,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

The documentation you are following is related to the integration between a Bitbucket Cloud and a JIRA Server Instance, however, you mentioned that you are trying to integrate your bitbucket with a JIRA Cloud site. Is it correct?

If that's what you are trying to do, you can use the following documentation to integrate your Bitbucket and JIRA Cloud applications:

Connect Bitbucket Cloud to Jira Software Cloud

In fact, you don't need to generate an OAuth token to do that integration. You just need to follow the steps below:

Start in Bitbucket to connect with Jira Software Cloud (you can alsostart in Jira Cloud applications).

  1. Log in to the Bitbucket Cloud account you want to connect with Jira Software Cloud. You'll need to be an admin on the Bitbucket account.
  2. Choose App marketplace from the avatar (your profile) menu:
  3. Click  Jira  under  Atlassian Integrations. If you don't have any Jira Software Cloud instances connected to your Atlassian account, you can choose to Try Jira now or Learn more about the integration.

  4. Click Connect associated with the Jira Software Cloud instance you want to integrate with Bitbucket Cloud.
  5. Click Grant access to grant Jira Software access to your Bitbucket Cloud account.
  6. Click Grant access to grant Bitbucket access to Jira.
  7. Choose whether or not you would like to automatically sync and enable Smart Commits for all your repositories.

  8. Click OK.

Once connected, you'll see your Bitbucket repos listed on the 'DVCS accounts' page in Jira Software.

The DVCS accounts page is only visible if you are a Jira Admin. Head intoJira settings>Applications then under theIntegrationsheading you should see DVCS accounts.

Let me know if you were able to perform the integration following the steps above.
