BigPicture: Is it possible to have scripting extensions?

I am working with Jira and using BigPicture. I wanted to know if anyone has extended the BigPicture capabilities with their own scripting.

In my experience, there isn't much you can do in terms of connecting different apps together, for example like scripting something in ScriptRunner for BigPicture, but the best people to ask would be the provider.
