We are looking into using Jira to manage our pre-sales pilot projects. If possible, we'd like to avoid assigning individual projects to each prospect but rather have them all listed under project umbrella. I played with nesting pilots as tasks and then using subtasks but it won't allow us to leverage project features like meeting notes, confluence project documents etc.
