Hi Community,
after moving our customers enterprise instance to the cloud we need a best practice to handle Updates for Marketplace Apps. Minor Updates seem to be done automatically. But what about major ones, especiall in sensitive PlugIns like scriptrunner. We cannot have a 1:1 copy of the productive instance to test the new version. How do you handle this issue? Trust in the vendors? Request details release notes and figure out the possible impact?
Thx for any suggestion or shared experience.
Brgds
Volker
I see that you have selected "Enterprise" as product plan. This means that your customer has the Sandbox feature available. It is available on Premium and Enteprise plans.
In the Sandbox, you are able to quickly copy the latest production data and to upgrade the 3rd party apps independent of the production environment.
Hope that helps
Hello @Tudor Tofan - thx for your suggestion. Unfortunatly we experienced that AddOns and thgeir content are not actually copied 1:1 to the sandbox instance. This leads to our gap in controlling the impact on the production system.
Your help is appreciated anyway - we will try the saandbox approach again and see, if we find a propper solution.
Kind regards
Volker

Hi @Tudor Tofan - I just found the option to copy production data into the sandbox. This might be a usefull opportunity to test new features, mcro updates etc. The copy is running about 6 hours now and I will see if the Macros are copied with all content. Thx again, I will close this issue now.
