I’ve been trying to streamline some repetitive tasks in Jira, but I’m struggling to find the right balance between built-in automation and external scripting tools. Some solutions work well but require too much manual tweaking.
I recently came across hohohub free script , and it got me thinking—has anyone here used custom scripts to automate workflows effectively?
Would love to hear your thoughts on the best approaches, whether it's through built-in Jira automation, third-party scripts, or plugins. Any recommendations?
Hello @derren47
I have not used custom scripts for this purpose.
I'm replying to alert you to another native solution that has recently been announced, in case you missed it. Without knowing the specifics of your scenario I don't know if it would be less intensive than your current methods.
Hi Derren - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
You don't need third-party scripting tools. Take a look at this article and see if it helps you.
