Basic, Project Level, Budget Tracking

Hi there - 

We've been looking for an app (or a miracle) that we can simply put x hours/month towards a project and we can run a report to reflect where we are. Ideally, the tickets would be auto-calculated and roll up to the project as a whole.

Does such thing exist?

Hey @Carolina Paulino , 

an app that could do about that is our own app - Epic Sum Up. 

With Epic Sum Up you can set a budget at the top level issue and all the time logs of the tickets are automatically calculated against it. You can always see the actual progress in a progress bar so you have an easy overview. 

This is how a time progress bar looks like: 

The black marker represents the budget and the red is all the time already logged on the tickets beneath. And the white space is how much time you have left. (Btw if you estimate the tickets red turns to green. In this case only two hours were estimated, the rest was just logged, as seen below the bar.) 

If you click on the bar you get a detailed overview where you can see how the times are calculated. It looks like this:

Dear @Carolina Paulino it looks like you are looking for a quick and easy solution, so may I suggest you try our plugin "HawkBudget - Easy budgeting and cost monitoring" 

You can add costs per user, a budget for the project, then the report shows how much you have consumed so far.
