Backup manager download failing

I am currently trying to export a large backup 56gb from jira and the download always fails. I want to put all my documents into cold storage that are attached to work items. 

I have:

1. Cleared my Cache.
2. Used different browsers
3. Utilized VPN
4. Tried it without VPN
5. Tried Incognito

yes, this is a pretty common problem with large Jira Cloud backups.

Atlassian has a current KB for exactly this case and explains that the download can fail from the UI/browser because of network timeouts. There is also an open Jira Cloud suggestion/bug around large backup downloads failing randomly. So I would not spend too much time fighting the browser download path here. 

I would try wget or curl instead. That is also Atlassian’s documented workaround for large backup files.
