The team are working through the backlog refinement, and they wish to leave an indicator on the backlog where we left off from the last meeting as we attempt to built out more than a weeks backlog.
As a workaround we have added a story using a title '------------------------' to indicate where we have last left off.
Does anyone have other ideas as to how they approach this?
When you say "backlog refinement" do you mean grooming and prioritizing?
Have you considered adding another status to your workflow to indicate a backlog item has been groomed? Then you could look for the items that are in the original "backlog/ungroomed" status and pick up with those.
Are you using scrum or kanban? If you are using scrum an alternative to another status would be to create a dummy sprint named Groomed and move the issues you have refined to that sprint (which will never be started).
