Backlog or and sprint board removed from view

Julie Pihl Rasmussen

When entering the Jira project today the backlog as well as sprint board is removed from my view. The rest of my team still see it, but it is gone from my options.

I get error 404:

HI @Julie Pihl Rasmussen

Are you using a bookmark to access this board, if so, brwose to the main URL of Jira nad then go to your project and board.

Otherwise check to clear browser cookies and cached, try an incognito window or other browser.

This as your team can still see the board and you don't it seems like a browser related issue.

@Julie Pihl Rasmussen , since your teammates still see it, this isn't a project level toggle, it's specific to your access. Two things to check with your Jira admin, in order of likelihood:

  • Your product access. In Jira Cloud that's admin.atlassian.com under Products, on Data Center it's the Applications column under User Management, if you were dropped from the group granting Jira Software access, Backlog and Board disappear while the rest of the project still loads for you.
  • The board's own sharing settings. A board is really just a saved filter, if someone edited who that filter is shared with and left you out, you'd get exactly this, gone for you, fine for everyone else.

The 404 with a trace ID points at Jira Cloud rather than Data Center, worth telling your admin whichever one it is so they check the right place.

Hi @Julie Pihl Rasmussen

Could you first let us know whether you're a Jira Administrator, Project Administrator, or an end user?

If you're not an administrator, I'd recommend asking your Jira admin to verify whether your permissions or board access have changed recently.

If you are an administrator and you're the only one affected, it would also be worth trying an incognito/private browser window or clearing your browser cache to rule out a browser-related issue.

If the problem persists, I'd recommend opening a support ticket with Atlassian and including the trace ID, as it can help them investigate the issue more efficiently.
